WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR 6 HOUR TRIP

Six hours is where Fort Lauderdale fishing really opens up.

Our reef line sits minutes from the inlet, so you are not burning half your charter steaming out. That means close to six hours of lines actually in the water, and it gives the captain room to run more than one plan.

A typical day might start along the reef edge for snapper and grouper, then push out to troll ballyhoo or bonita for mahi, kingfish and wahoo. In winter and spring we set the kites for sailfish. And if the morning bite is slow, six hours gives us time to go find a better one. That flexibility is what separates this trip from the four hour.

You and up to 6 guests fish aboard our 36 foot Palmetto center console, morning or afternoon. Rods, reels, tackle, bait, ice, water and licenses included. We clean and fillet your catch before you leave the dock.

Came down with my son during what is considered a slower time of year in January and still caught a bunch of fish. Hector and Maria were great! Hector kept moving and working the wrecks, trolling, live bait etc. We ended up catching Mahi Mahi, Amberjack, snapper, squirrel and other species more than 20 in the boat at the end of the day. Hector sent us down to the restaurant at the end of the marina called South Shore I believe it was called. They blackened the snapper and Mahi for us, both were delicious. It was a great day! First time going on a charter, and it was an amazing experience. They provide necessary tackle, water, a dry area in the boat, a cooler for drinks and a cooler for any fish that are caught. Great fishing with Captain Colton and Hector. Rough conditions but the two stayed focused on productive fishing. We caught a Mahi on the troll. Then switched to kite fishing with live bait and the action started. We hooked into a big fish and fought it for a long while. With Colton and Hector giving instructions and moving the boat, the 30lb Kingfish was landed. Colton offered us several different methods of fishing and worked with us to target what we wanted to catch. Colton and Hector both have excellent communication skills and Hector filleted our fish with attention to maximize the meat.
